What we're pouring - Champagne Vaucelle
Share
Some champagne tastes impressive. This one feels personal. Maison Thomas Cheurlin is a family story "from father to son since 1670", with craftsmanship passed down through 10 generations. Their champagnes are described as an expression of place: "the soil, the climate, and the family's enduring love for the craft."

There's also a quiet kind of prestige behind it. Their wines have been poured at the Élysée Palace, the Hôtel de Matignon (Prime Minister's Office), the National Assembly, and French embassies worldwide. That recognition allows them to display the French flag on the bottle collars, a symbol of trust from France's highest authorities. What we love most: the integrity. The house is still independent and family-owned, practicing sustainable viticulture with certifications including HVE and VDC. Their grapes include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and the rare Blanc Vrai (Pinot Blanc), all from their family vineyards. And the name "Vaucelle" itself means "small parcel" or "valley" in old Champagne language, a tribute to the land and the single plots that shape some cuvées. If you've been waiting for the right champagne to keep in the fridge: this is it. Now we're down to the last of this release.
